Date:9th Aug 2010 Today we were given a lecture by Dr. Azizan and add on by Mr. Wan based on the topic of addition and Subtraction. Then we were given an assignment which is creating a black box made of bamboo and recycled paper and it is capable to hold 6 balloon in it without exposing them....and balloon to be releaseone at a time...
At that moment, when we were given the assignment i only thought of using satay sticks instead of the fresh bamboo...So i started of sketching how i would like my black box to be... Firstly, i thought about the canon bomb structure....but it end up being not successful because if i were to put 6 standard size balloon in it imagine how long would the trunk of the canon bomb be...it makes no sense at all...So later on i thought of another idea how to manage this 6 balloon...and here's my spinner's idea comes in...

On the 16 Aug,we were given a talk based on vision(goal, image,ambition,...) and rules(guideline,policy, feedback, law,...) Each and everyone of us must have our own vision...Life without vision is meaningless bcos we do not know which way should we take.. This people will always feel scare in doing anything even decision bout something. No CONFIDENT... So in order to have successful vision, we have to obey the rules...
*at the end of the talk, we were ask to figure out how to draw a dot in a circle without removing the pen..... ans: move your paper away from the dot then draw the circle.
Then we were given another assignment which is called the black box...
all sketches of black box must be done in this black A4 sketchbook...

cut and paste then i colour those boxes into black and the photocopy again...
then i apply colour to the background...
#the idea of me coloring the boxes black because to me it is something dark, morbid. A black box is like a portal to a realm and unknown to our imagination... it also sound something like a little window to death's door... that is why i apply the background like this in order to explain the situation is all about...
*we were ask to sketch a casket for me and my sarong. *show that how i was placed in it. *show how the casket were carried by my 6 friends. *how were it be if it were made of bamboo Before attempting my assign i have done some research through the website...Every casket that i found almost look alike...Suddenly, i thought of this bullet train.so i used the idea to create my casket.

Human Dimentions
Today lecture was conducted by Ar Mohd Najib. Basically the lecture is about the study of human body measurement based on anthropomatrics. Other than that we were also introduced to a few theories regarding this human dimention. *Golden Section *Classical thoery *Renaissance theory *Modular System (Le Corbusier) *Ken system *Andropometry
Later on, we were given an extend assignment about the dots and lines because some of the lecture were not happy about the work that had just being hand in to them. But for this time we are required apply the golden section rule in the sketching.
Then come the esquisses, after a short brief about 'Jengkal' by Mr. Wan.
This is the human dimension we are asked to draw in the scale of 1:10, 1:50, 1:100
must contain the following criteria: *opaque *translucent *transparent *shading *shadow *layer
1st day, is all about sport, FUTSAL. 1st year students form their own teams and compete between each other. So is kind of like ice- breaking activity to get to know your course mates better. HBP seniors do participate in this competition too.
For sure, there are going to be more exciting activities and events coming soon during this Big Bang. As a first year HBP students, you can expect the very best from your seniors to lead and guide you throughout the orientation.
On the 2nd day, though i did not attend due to some personal problem but i did get some feedback from my friends who had attended the camp. Basically what happen on that day was some taklimat about this camp. Then the next session which is the LDK session, the are divided into groups.They are assign to create their own group name, group cheer, and group trademark. After the discussion, they are called out according to groups to come forward to present what they have prepared.
To be continued on the 3rd day, in the morning we had a senamrobik followed by the campus walk session. Actually it was quite an interesting session, can explore some of the places in USM at the same time i feel fit after walking around the campus. Not bad it is also a good way to stay slim and fit.
We gather back at the Dataran Merah and we were given a card each in side it was w
ritten there my name and my senior. What i need to do is to get their senior? It was a quite crowd,everyone were like busy looking for whose their senior were. May be the senior should do it in a more fun way. i feel that it is quite boring lo.
In the evening, we had the
sukaneka session. I can see that many of them really enjoy the games and play hard just to make sure that their group win th
e race. At night, it was the explorace. I find that the explorace at some
of the station was quite nice and it really challenge us to actually guess where the places is. Then it continued with the briefing. The senior were quite disappointed that many of them that did not turn up for the camp. While the briefin
g was carry on suddenly there's a group of people attack us from the top of the building. They spray water on us...What a shock?
Here comes the last day of the camp, it started of with gotong-royong at the rumpun buluh site. Then, we had a session to discuss about the performance for the dinner to
night.
Around 9pm, the dinner started...
There are performance by the senior as well as groups too.
I did enjoy the night...and we should thanks all the senior for preparing all this just for us
